What sort of person would you trust to help you change your life? ... What if that person were trained as a life coach, had lots of life experience and was devoted to helping you achieve a better life? ...What if he avoided telling you how to live your life and instead helped you find the answers deep inside yourself?

Your Author: Nick Kolesnikoff

Nick is a Certified Professional Life Coach and author and works with clients from around the globe engaged in many walks of life. He served as a corporate executive for thirty-five years and is now a successful entrepreneur.

From Modest Beginnings to UC Berkeley ...

He was born in San Francisco and raised on the west coast of the U.S. as the son of immigrant parents who came to America with nothing but the clothes on their backs. His parents believed in the American dream and provided him with a superb education—he graduated from the University of California at Berkeley. He was at Berkeley during the tumultuous years of the Free Speech Movement, and quickly learned to think outside of traditional boxes.

Unlikely Naval Officer Learns to Help People ...

In contrast to his college experience, he served as an intelligence officer in the US Navy for three years and then began his professional career. He experienced life from many different platforms, working as an architect, a city planner, and a corporate executive. While still in his 20s he eliminated a community's only slum and provided 40 families with a new start in life—that began his commitment to helping people.

Distinguished Corporate Career ...

By the age of 32 he had become the youngest corporate vice president in an international architectural and engineering company and was responsible for landing some of the most prestigious projects in the world—including embassies, court houses and leading-edge scientific research facilities. In the ensuing years he earned the corporate titles of Executive Vice President, Chief Operations Officer, Chief Development Officer and President; he provided executive leadership on multi-billion dollar projects, ran large profit centers, and even provided representation before the US Congress. He worked for large and small businesses and was instrumental in several turnarounds of distressed companies and units. When he retired from his industry, he was a corporate officer of a 40,000 person international professional services firm and served in a mentoring role for young professionals.

National and Community Service...

Nick was recognized for contributions to his industry and his community. He was a frequent industry speaker and author and even invented a new integrated approach to organizing and managing large complex projects. After the terrorist attacks of 9/11, he was asked to help organize his industry to respond to the new threat; for his efforts he was awarded the President's Award by a prestigious professional society. He served on the Board of Trustees of an independent K-12 school and was instrumental in planning for a new 30-acre campus; he helped to grow the school from a student body of 400 to over 1000.

Family Man Seeking a Balanced Life...

Nick's greatest blessing is his family. He is married and the proud father of two children who have overcome adversity in their lives. His daughter struggled with learning challenges yet was able to graduate from college with honors and is now a Certified Athletic Trainer working in Physical Therapy; his son was born an underweight preemie but is now a solid, 6-2, 200 pound college senior. He gives all credit for the exceptional way that his children turned out to the extraordinary nurturing provided by his wife and best friend of 32 years—a 17-year breast cancer survivor and an inspiration to all who know and love her.

Latest Chapter: Full-time Help For Others...

Having fulfilled his professional goals, Nick changed gears. He had been urged by many colleagues and friends to coach others. Not satisfied that he really knew how to do that, he undertook a rigorous life coach training program—he took to the basic concepts and found lots of room for improvement. This book integrates Nick's life coach training and experience with his extraordinary appreciation of life and its lessons. Several of his clients have exclaimed, "It's like having Nick available for coaching 24/7."
